Expedition
Every Tierra Brava expedition is built around the same principle: no lodge routine, no guaranteed trophy count. Just riders, horses, and country that demands you earn what you take.
Eight slots per season. Each expedition begins with a personal consultation.
Expedition I
Classic
Boar Hunt
The foundation of Tierra Brava. Seven days on horseback, riding into terrain that has no road access. Your gaucho guide reads the land — wind, spoor, the way the grass moves at treeline. You ride at first light and learn quickly why this animal has survived every predator it has ever met.
Request DetailsDays 1–2
Arrival & Base Camp
Fly into Punta Arenas or Balmaceda. Transfer to the estancia. Rifles zeroed, horses assigned, terrain briefed over a proper asado. The first evening belongs to the fire.
Days 3–5
Into the Quebradas
Pre-dawn departures. Your gaucho leads you through river corridors and dense thorn country where boar hold during the heat. Horseback pursuit — no blinds, no bait. Field camp established on Day 3.
Days 6–7
The Final Push & Return
The last morning is the best morning. You know the country now. The ride back to base is yours to remember it by. Trophy documentation and optional preparation handled before departure.

Expedition II
Boar &
Deer Combo
Nine days that move between two entirely different hunting disciplines. The boar is pursued aggressively — fast country, fast decisions. The deer requires patience, elevation, and the kind of silence that costs most hunters three days to learn. This expedition covers both and rewards both.

Arrival & Orientation
Estancia base. Team introductions, horse selection, terrain map briefed. Two distinct hunting zones are covered on this expedition — your gaucho explains the difference before you ride into either.
Days 3–5
Boar Country
The low quebradas and river corridors. Horseback pursuit through dense cover. The boar section is fast-moving and unpredictable — the kind of hunting that wakes you up.
Days 6–8
Into the High Country
Elevation transition. The Andean deer live higher — open ridges and scree faces where a mistake at 400 meters costs you the shot. Your gaucho has done this approach since boyhood.
Day 9
Trophy Preparation & Departure
All trophies documented, field-cared, and prepared for export. Your gaucho will have a parting glass ready before the transfer.

Expedition III
The Full
Expedition
The complete Tierra Brava experience. Ten days that move from river valley to high ridge to the remotest country on the property — the ground we call "la tierra brava" for a reason. No shortcuts. No fixed itinerary. This expedition follows the animals, the weather, and the judgment of men who have hunted this land for decades.

Days 1–2
Arrival & The Land Briefing
Base estancia. Your gaucho team is not a staff — these are the same men who run this land year-round. The first evening is a proper introduction over fire and asado.
Days 3–5
The Quebradas — Boar Country
Deep river corridors before dawn. The boar here are not hunted from stands. You ride to where they were yesterday and trust your gaucho's read on where they'll be this morning.
Days 6–8
The Ridge Country — Deer & Elevation
Camp moves high. Andean deer inhabit a completely different world: glassing at distance, stalking open terrain, learning to read the thermals. Three days here changes how you see landscape.
Days 9–10
La Tierra Brava — The Deep Country
The final two days go further than the previous eight. This is the ground accessible only by horse, only after you know your animal. What happens here stays in the field notes.

What Every Hunter Should Know
The Season
Expeditions run October through March — Patagonian spring into early autumn. This is when the animals are active and the passes are open. Outside this window, the country doesn't cooperate and we don't operate.
Physical Condition
You will spend 6–8 hours in the saddle on active days. You do not need to be an endurance athlete, but you need to be honest about your fitness. A frank pre-expedition conversation helps everyone.
Firearms
Chile permits international hunters to bring rifles with prior paperwork. We handle the permit coordination. Most hunters bring their own rifle. Loan rifles available on request for calibers .243–.375.
Group Size
Two to four hunters per expedition. Solo expeditions are available but require specific timing. Groups larger than four are not accepted — the country can't support them and neither can the experience.
What's Not Included
International flights, travel insurance (required), accommodations outside the expedition window, taxidermy and international trophy shipping (we provide outbound documentation and a trusted shipper referral).
The Conversation
Every booking begins with a call. We need to understand your experience level, your goals, and what kind of hunt you're looking for. This isn't a formality — it's how we make sure the right expedition gets matched to the right hunter.
